Parish Cutlery

 There are scores of patterns of cutlery within the catering industry and they fall into two styles. The traditional patterns such as Kings, Harley, Jesmond and Bead and Rattail are called "parish patterns" from the areas of Sheffield they were originally designed in. These patterns are now made around the world, most notably in the Far East. There are also modern designs which have no natural home, but have been the work of cutlery designers. These ranges have a more modern contemporary design and have become very popular with the modern restaurants.

Parish pattern cutlery is still by far, the most commonly used patterns within the catering industry.

Harley and Bead pattern are the more popular ranges in modern catering outlets, Kings & Jesmond t are more seen in the traditional English style restaurants.
