Ice makers today are a bar staple. If you went into a bar on a hot summers day and they had no ice you would probably be in a bit of a huff. But there was a time, back in the day, when ice was not as readily available as it is today. If you visited most places and asked for some ice they would laugh at you. Ice was a luxury and came at a price only the rich could afford. Iced used to be extremely rare in some parts and had to be imported from colder climates at a hefty price.
Ice started to become more readily available in the early 20th century when refrigerators and refrigeration units were becoming more available. Then in the 1960s ice machines were introduced and revolutionized the ease at which we obtain ice.
The production of ice as we all know is a very simple process, its just a simple case of freezing water. And it is this simple process that is harnessed inside todays common ice makers. Ice makers are hooked up to the power supply and also plumbed into the water supply and automatically fill the trays with water and freeze them. It takes just 10 minutes from turning your ice maker on and adding water to produce ice.
Today ice is widely available and not at all a luxury, if your establishment did not have an ice maker people would say you were living in the stone age and maybe its time to invest in one. Now ice makers are available built in to fridges and even available in portable versions for use in the home. There are also a wide range of commercial ice machines for you to choose from.
At GlobalFSE we offer 2 types of ice maker with both available in several sizes. These are compact, attractive undercounter ice makers capable of producing anywhere between 18 and 95kgs of ice in a 24hr period (dependant upon machine and model). Each machine also has storage space for between 5.5 and 50 kgs, and has a closable door so that the solid ice cubes will last longer.
A two year parts and labour warranty comes as standard with these commercial ice machines. Before you make any purchase we can conduct a free site survey to ascertain which ice makers would be right for you. Free delivery is available as well as generous leasing terms.
