Bar Mats & Shelf Liners

The American theme-bars were the bar mat pioneers. Traditionally in two sizes, either 3" wide by 23" long or 12"x 18", bar mats sit under drinks and are generally used to absorb any spilled fluid, thereby preventing the bar itself from becoming sticky and unclean. These mats can then be dishwashed and sanitised to be used time and time again.

Shelf Liners were developed to lift glasses off flat surfaces, allowing liquid to drain off the glass and not dry round the rim, thus keeping the glasses more hygienic. Traditionally the glass interlocking mat system was the only system, but these were made in only one size and were difficult to cut to fit certain shelf sizes. Nowadays, this concept is available in a plastic roll and can be cut a lot easier. They're also more competitive in price.
